About Me

KRS1

Keith Sykes

I recently retired from my 'day job' of more than thirty five years, owning and running a company that manufactures industrial packing cases and other products.  I guess I have quite a few interests but my hobby is model making.  Other interests include technology, engineering (heavy engineering in particular), robotics and anything CNC-related.  Oh, and travelling!

I live in the Cambridgeshire village of Friday Bridge and lucky enough to have my own study/workshop, or as it's been called by my family....the 'Man Cave'.  This was part of the double garage but we converted it soon after we moved in.  This study is roughly 2.7m x 3.4m, which is basically 100 sq. ft. This doesn't sound much but I also have a large workshop where the double garage is, so plenty big enough for relatively small-scale model making.

The images shown above are now somewhat out of date, as I constantly change the layout, due to acquiring new and replacing machines and model-making facilities.
